UDHAMPUR, Dec 4: Chenani Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggler and rescued 12 animals even as the smuggler managed to flee.
Based on reliable information, a Police party led by SHO Sanjeet Sharma, under the supervision of DySP Chanderjeet Singh, laid a naka at Motor Shed Chennai and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AT- 2505.
During checking, 12 bovine animals were found loaded in the truck. Even as Police rescued the animals and seized the truck, its driver managed to flee from the spot.
In this regard, case FIR number 109 /2018 under Section 188 RPC, 3PCA has been registered at Police Station Chenani and further investigation is going on.
