UDHAMPUR, Aug 17: Udhampur Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued 12 bovines, which were being smuggled in a truck.
The truck bearing registration number JK14H 1991 was intercepted by a Police party of PP Roundomail, led by Insp Raghubir Singh, SHO PS Udhampur and assisted by PSI Rahul Jamwal IC PP Roundomail.
During search, 12 bovine animals were found loaded in the truck without any valid permission. Police rescued all the 12 bovine animals and arrested driver of the truck.
In this connection, case under relevant section of law has been registered in PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.
