SAMBA, Sept 22: Samba police today foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines by rescuing 14 bovines at naka Mansar Morh, here.
A police party of Police Station (PS), Samba headed by Inspector, Rajesh Jasrotia while performing vehicle checking duty at Mansar Morh, here intercepted a vehicle bearing Registration. Number JK02AH-5977, which was moving towards Valley via Mansar-Udhampur road.
During the checking of the vehicle, 14 bovines were found laden inside it without any permission. All the bovines were rescued and shifted to safer places. The vehicle used for transporting the bovines was also seized on spot.
In this regard, a case FIR Number 255/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at PS Samba and investigation taken up.
