12 bovines rescued, vehicle seized

SAMBA, Feb 14: Ghagwal police in Samba district today succeeded in rescuing 12 bovines which were being smuggled towards Kashmir Valley.
According to the report, a police party of Police Station, Ghagwal headed by SHO of the Police Station, under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs, Samba and Additional SP Samba, Faisal Qureshi during routine vehicle checking Naka at National Highway in Tapyal area falling under jurisdiction of Ghagwal Police Station intercepted a truck bearing Registration. Number, JK02AC-2576 which was coming from Kathua side.
During checking of the vehicle, 12 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were being transported illegally towards Kashmir.
All the bovines were rescued and shifted to safer place. The vehicle used for illegal transportation of bovines was also seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 15/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation started.
