12-day long educational tour for students flagged off

Srinagar, Nov 20: Army today flagged off a 12 day-long educational and motivational tour to Pune for 28 school students of Sainik School Manasbal in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
A defence spokesman said the students will get a unique opportunity to visit National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla which is one of the best tri services Academy in the world, during the tour.
“The students will also be exposed to some of the leading Educational Institutions of the country like Army Institute of Technology (AIT) Pune, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) Pune, Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune and College of Military Engineering Pune. Apart from these institutions, Air Force Station, Lohegaon visit will fascinate and give an insight to the students about the life of Air Warriors. An adventurous trek to Sinhagad Fort will give them a lifetime thrilling experience full of adrenaline rush,” he said.
Besides this, the students will also visit various places of historical relevance in Jammu which will provide them a learning experience about India’s rich historical and cultural heritage, he added.
