RAJOURI, May 12: Sub Divisional Magistrate penalized 12 staff members of Kotranka Hospital (CHC) when he paid surprise visit at around 12 noon today.
Official sources said that SDM, Sukhpal Singh on the complaint of general public, today paid surprise visit to the CHC Kotranka during mid day and found that total 12 employees of the hospital including a medico, were absent from duty. He called the explanation of the staff and also directed to stop their salary for the current month.
The locals of the area alleged that most of the staff always remains absent and only X-Ray machine in this hospital is out of order for the last three months. Out of the six posts of doctors, only three are in place at hospital. There is no lady doctor posted in this hospital despite popular public demand. Even condition of Budhal CHC and Samote PHC, falling in Darhal constituency is not good. Staff often remains absent and public is made to suffer.
