JAMMU, Feb 6: J&K Grameen Bank here today organized twelve ‘Financial Literacy Awareness Programmes.’
The Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department of the Bank under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural in collaboration with NABARD accomplished these Financial Literacy Awareness Programmes at Shahdara, Ashtingo, Quilmuqam, Noorbagh, Purmandal, Kartholi, Swankha Morh, Sai, Dablehar, Dhargloon, Manjakote, Mankote and Jhulas.
Chief Guest in one of these functions was Mushtaq Ahmed Qureshi, Sarpanch Shahdara and he informed the gathering about developments in banking sector and latest schemes.
The gathering was informed about various modes of cashless transactions from the banks, various safeguards to be kept in mind to prevent cheating while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM Cards, Mobile Banking etc.
People were also educated about the Aadhaar Seeding and Mobile Seeding with their respective saving bank account which is the need of the hour for the banking sector.
Amir Shawl, Agriculture Officer, Thanamandi was the guest of honour at Shahdara on the occasion. He stressed upon the PMSBY & PMJJBY death claims process. He further urged upon the need of using various applications of the bank for getting cashless transactions and also highlighted the importance of cashless transactions that saves time of the customers and also gives boost to direct revenues of the government.
Representatives of Line Departments like KVIB, Animal Husbandry, Sarpanchs and Panchs from all these areas also attended these programmes.
All Branch Heads from the Branch Offices of these areas detailed the gathering on schemes of the Bank.
They talked on new technologies available in the bank such as multiple uses of bank cheques, use of POS machine, RuPay debit card, KCC RuPay debit card, net banking, mobile banking services, IMPS, Aadhaar based transactions etc.
