ISLAMABAD: At least 12 militants were killed in an encounter with the Pakistan police in Karachi. A senior police officer today said, eight militants were killed in firing as the police launched a raid at their hideout. Four others died while being chased after they fled the scene. The slain militants belonged to the outlawed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan militant group, the officer added.
Police have also seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the spot.
