JERUSALEM, June 21: At least 12 Palestinians were killed and dozens of others wounded on Friday as a result of gunfire and shells from Israeli tanks in the Al-Mawasi area, west of the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah, Palestinian sources told Xinhua.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews were dealing with a large number of deaths and injuries after the Israeli army targeted the tents for the displaced in Rafah, according to the Palestinian official news agency WAFA.
Also on Friday, the health authorities in Gaza said nearly 30 bodies had been sent to the Arab National Hospital in Gaza City, north of the enclave. (UNI)
