MENDHAR, Sept 15: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Mendhar, Thakur Sher Singh today placed 12 employees of Rural Development Department from Mendhar block under suspension.
Official sources said that on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Poonch, M H Malik, SDM Mendhar deputed Tehildar Mendhar Shahzad Khan along with team of officers to the office of BDO Mendhar during the mid day today. The team found 12 employees absent from duty. Even the BDO was also not present. They found out of 15 employees only three present.
The SDM charge-sheeted the BDO and sought his explanation and placed all the absentee employees under suspension. Their salary was also stopped till further orders. They are- Mohd Azam Senior Assistant, Zakir Hussain Shah-Junior Assistant, Zaber Ahmed, Sukhchain Lal, Vilayat Hussain Khan, Mohd Sharief and Maqbool Hussain-all Class IV workers; Rubina Nasreen Zahid Khatoon, Nasreen Akhtar and Javed Iqbal – all computer operators.
It was found that Zaber , Sukhchain, Vilayat, Mohd Sharief and Maqbool had marked their attendance on the register but they were missing in the office and the staff present failed to give proper reply. The attendance register was seized. The SDM charge-sheeted the BDO. It was also found that he was running parallel office from the house of his Senior Assistant from Ari and the Administration has taken serious note of it.
