JAMMU, Feb 18: Police claimed today that they have seized 12 vehicles for allegedly mining illegally in different areas of the district.
A police spokesperson said that two tractor trolleys were seized by Police Station Gharota, three tractor trolleys by Police Station RS Pura, one tractor trolley by Police Post Phallain Mandal, and six trolleys by Border Police Post Sandwan.
“The vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order,” said the police spokesperson, adding that the DMO Jammu has been informed about the seizures made.
