JAMMU, Nov 25: Principal Sessions Judge Udhampur YP Bourney today awarded 12 years rigorous imprisonment to Majid Khan, who was booked under NDPSA for smuggling heroin.
After hearing APP Himanshu Parkash for the prosecution whereas Advocates NA Ronga and Naveen Gaur for the accused person, the court observed that prosecution has succeeded in proving the charges against the accused, who is accordingly convicted for the commission of offence under NDPS Act. He was awarded 12 years RI and asked to pay fine of Rs 2 lakh.
