JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Sept 7: No COVID casualties were reported in Jammu and Kashmir today while 126 persons tested positive. Five fresh cases were recorded in Ladakh.
While 92 COVID cases were registered in Kashmir, 34 were reported in the Jammu region.
Among 34 cases in the region, 16 were reported from Reasi district, seven Doda, four Jammu, two each in Udhampur, Rajouri and Kishtwar and one in Ramban district. No new cases were reported from Poonch, Kathua and Samba districts.
Twenty five persons today recovered from the virus leaving behind 251 active positive cases in the Jammu region.
The UT of Ladakh today reported five fresh COVID positive cases, all in Leh district.
Ladakh now has 54 active positive cases.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 92 fresh COVID-19 positive cases.
Those who tested positive include 46 from Srinagar, 20 from Baramulla, 13 from Budgam, 2 from Pulwama, 2 from Kupwara, 1 from Bandipora, 1 from Ganderbal, 6 from Kulgam and 1 from Shopian.
As per officials figures, 72,763 positive cases including 836 deaths and 71,369 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,989 including 282 deaths and 23,567 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,287 including 22,936 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Budgam, 15,366 including 15,130 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,264 including 166 deaths and 14,072 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,459 including 16,230 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,654 cases including 9,525 and 101 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,150 including 10,044 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,433 including 11,298 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,601 including 5,538 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 202,966 including 199,709 recoveries and 2,244 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,264 including 1,013 from Kashmir division.
With 148 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 320,485 which is 98.26 percent of the total cases.
