13 bags of mid-day meals ration seized

POONCH, May 18: The police seized 13 bags of ration under mid-day meals scheme of the Education Department in Surankote area and arrested one person in this connection.
A police spokesman said that acting on a specific information, SHO Surankote Insp Masoof Ahmed Mirza along with his team raided the shop of Abdul Khaliq, son of Mohd Hussain, resident Marhote and seized 13 bags of mid-day meals Scheme ration along with four bags of Dalia ( 100 packets).
This ration was meant for Govt Middle School, Hari Safada but was unloaded to a private grocery shop of Abdul Khaliq. The shopkeeper was arrested and further investigation was launched. More arrests are likely within a day or two. The police has registered a case FIR No. 94/ 2015 in this connection. The Police was looking for the in-charge Master, Mid-day Meals of the Hari School.
