13 bovines rescued, driver arrested

RAMBAN, Mar 16: Police rescued 13 bovine animals and arrested a driver.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramban Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AS-7981.
During checking, police team rescued 13 bovine animals from the truck and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Mohammad Nadeem, son of Matloob of Gangu Road, Mohalla Gujar, Saharanpur Uttar Pradesh. The driver was transporting the bovine animals from Kathua to Srinagar without permission. SHO Ramban Insp Sunil Sharma under supervision of DYSP HQ Ramban Asgar Malik KPS & under close supervision of Adll SP Sh Sanjay Parihar KPS laid a naka at T- Chowk, Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 37/2020 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Sunil Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Haseeb-ur-Rehman.
