UDHAMPUR, Mar 1: Udhampur Police rescued 13 bovine animals and arrested the smuggler at Tikri, here today.
Police team of Police Station Rehambal, led by Inspector Nishad Ahmed and assisted by PSI Sahil Singh, IC PP Tikri, intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AF-7527 at Tikri naka point.
During search, 13 bovines were found illegally loaded in the vehicle. Police rescued the bovine animals and arrested driver of the truck, identified as Talib Hussain, son of Showkat Ali of Larnoo, Anantnag.
In this regard, a case FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Rehambal.
