13 bovines seized, 2 smugglers held

RAJOURI, July 22: The police seized 13 bovine animals and arrested two persons for smuggling of cattle to Kashmir in district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that a Sunderbani police party during early hours today intercepted a load carrier No. JK11B/4673 at Bajabain and found seven bovine animals loaded in it. The driver of the vehicle namely Mohd Ishaq, son of Sabir Khan, resident of Rajouri was arrested on the spot. A case was registered against him at Sunderbani Police Station. He was going to Kashmir via Mughal Road.
Manjakote police also rescued six bovine animals from the clutches of smuggler in Tarkundi area and registered a case against him. He has been identified as Nassar Ahmed, son of Noor Hussain, resident of Surankote. He was carrying these cattle on foot to avoid police naka point.
