POONCH, Oct 21: At least 13 persons were injured, some of them seriously when a passenger bus was rolled down into a gorge near Dhar Galoon in Mendhar area this evening.
The mishap took place when the vehicle ( JK02BM/5866) was on way to Mendhar from Rajouri. When it reached near Dhar Galoon, the driver lost control over it and bus was rolled down into the gorge, causing injuries to 13 passengers.
The police party from Gursai led by SHO Sanjay Gupta rushed to the spot. The injured were shifted to PHC Dhar Galoon where doctors referred six to District hospital Rajouri while others to SDH Mendhar.
The injured were identified as Zulfkar Ali from Dhar Galoon, Jagdish Raj from Samba, Ibrar Ahmed from Chak Banola, Sameena Sadiq from Bhimber Gali, Nazira Bi from Darana, Mohd Salim from Darana, Mohd Yunis from Rajouri, Suresh Kumar from Rajouri, Mohd Yunis from Rajouri, Muktar Ali from Banola, Maqsooda bi from Surankote, Sadia Alam and Mohd Asif from Chak Banola.
