13 vehicles seized for illegal mining

JAMMU, July 2: At least 13 vehicles were seized for illegal mining in Jammu District today.
A police spokesperson said that 4 vehicles were seized by a team of Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO concerned Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, one tractor trolley by a team of Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Vishav Partap Singh, another by a team of Police Station Khour led by SHO Khour, Inspector Rahul Mahajan, one dumper by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Vikram Sharma, two tractor trolleys by a team of Police Post Sidhra led by incharge Police Post PSI Arun Kumar, two vehicles by a team of Police Post Tallab Tillo led by incharge Police Post PSI Sonu Choudhary, and two tractor trolleys by a team of Police Post Chowki Choura led by incharge Police Post PSI Pankaj Katoch.
“DMO Jammu has been intimated about the vehicles seized,” he said.
According to the police spokesperson, the seized vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order.
