1,338 pays obeisance at Budha Amarnath on 1st day

POONCH, Aug 19: Around 1,338 pilgrims paid obeisance at Budha Amarnath on the very first day, today.
The first batch of pilgrims today reached Mandi where people from different religions, elected representatives as well as political and social leaders received and welcomed all the pilgrims.

As per reports, 1338 people from different states and union territories including Gujrat, Madya Pradesh, Asam and Bhopal paid their obeisance on the very first day and the series of outsider devotees will continue for next 10 days during which thousands of people will reach here for appearance, while local devotees in large are already visiting the temple from last many days. Pertinent to mention here that the first batch of pilgrims was received and welcomed in Mendhar, Surankote and Poonch.
Senior officers and management committee members said that District Administration Poonch along with the temple management has put all arrangements including security on place for the devotees which were reviewed by the concerned authorities time to time.
The Yatra will continuously arrive for next 10 days after which Chadi Mubarak will be carried out from Akhada Mandir Poonch to Budha Amarnath Temple, Mandi”, they added.
