14 bovine animals rescued, 5 held

REASI, May 28: The police foiled three bovines smuggling attempts and rescued 14 cattle during checking last night in Reasi district.
Official sources said that teams of Police Station Chassana led by SHO, Insp Parmod Singh under the supervision of Chabail Singh SDPO Mahore laid special nakas in Chassana area and arrested five bovine smugglers and rescued 14 bovines from their possession.
The police established a surprise naka at Fagooli Tulli area and during checking intercepted one bovine smuggler namely Mohd Yousaf, Shamas Din, resident of Dandote, Tehsil Budhal and rescued two bovines from his possession.
In this regards a case FIR No. 27/2022 U/S 188 IPC, has been registered at Police Station Chassana.
In another incident Chassana police during naka checking foiled bovines smuggling attempt in Gota area of Chassana, intercepted bovine smugglers namely Mohd Manir, son of Mohd Younis from Tulli, Tehsil Chassana and rescued five bovines from his possession. In this regards case FIR No. 28/2022 U/S 188 IPC was registered at Police Station Chassana.
In one more incident police team from Chassana during naka foiled bovines smuggling attempt in Labrh Mallikote area and intercepted three bovine smugglers namely Mohd Iqbal from Sarsote, Israr Hussain from Gota and Zakar Hussain from Malikote in Tehsil Chassana and rescued seven bovines from their possessions. In this regard a case FIR No. 29/2022 U/S 188 IPC stands registered at Police Station Chassana and investigation initiated.
