JAMMU, Jan 6: Nagrota police under ‘Operation Kamdhenu’ rescued 14 bovine animals from a truck and arrested the driver.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number PB35Q-7642.
During checking, police rescued 14 bovine animals from the truck and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Neranjan Singh, son of Dalip Singh, a resident of Dina Nagar, Pathankot, Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 14/19 under relevant sections has been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Deepak Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma and SP Rural Dushyant Sharma.
