UDHAMPUR: At least 14 persons died today morning as a overloaded matador plunged into a deep gorge at Dalsar on its way from Ghordi to Ramnagar injuring 18 others.
As per report, a matador No. JK14-C -8068 rolled down into a 300 feet gorge at Dalsar village 4 Km short of Ramnagar at around 8.30 a.m. Locals and police rushed on the spot and evacuated the injured who were earlier shifted to Community Health Centre and later to district hospital Udhampur.
The number of causalities is likely to increase as the some of the injured are in serious condition. Meanwhile deceased have been identified as Ajay Kumar son of Nek Ram resident of Surni, Khem Raj son of Tej Ram resident of Nallah Ghorian, Sapna Devi wife of Des Raj resident of Plassian, Surju Devi wife of Tulsi Dass resident of Dalsar, Bindoo Ram son of Chinkoo Ram resident of Jandrore, Nishi wife of Shakti resident of Kanah, Raghubir Singh S/O Shaju Singh resident of Jandrore, Ashok Kumar Driver son of Chet Ram resident of Ghordi at present Thaplal , Ganesh Dutt son of Amar Nath resident of Nallah Mallian, Sushma Devi wife of Attar Chand resident of Jandrore, Shillo Devi wife of Kartar Chand resident of Kanah Massal, Shanti Devi wife of Prem Singh resident of Massal, Mulkh Raj resident of Nallah Ghorian. Later one other serious injured also succumbed to their injuries in the district Hospital Udhampur. Meanwhile police has registered a case in this regard.
