RAJOURI, Sept 17: At least fourteen persons were injured when an over loaded mini-bus met with an accident near Gurdan Balla in district Rajouri today.
Official sources said that the mishap took place when the vehicle nearing registration No. JK11A/ 5743 was on way to Gurdan Balla from Rajouri. After break failure, the vehicle went out of control and was collided with a strong concrete wall of an Army unit. Fourteen passengers received injuries and they were shifted to District Hospital, Rajouri. Some of them were discharged after providing first-aid in hospital. Click here to watch video
The injured were identified as Nassar Ahmed, son of Mohd Shafiq, resident of Morha Darra; Mohd Adam, son of Abdulla, resident of Panhandling Nara; Mohd Sadiq, son of Alah Din, resident of Gurdan Balla; Zulfkar, son of Sultan Mohd, resident of Gurdan; Mohd Sharief, son of Faqir Mohd from Gurdan; Azmat Bi, wife of Mohd Khaliq of Bathuni; Maddassar Shah, son of Manzoor Shah from Gurdan Balla; Muneera Begum, wife of Mohd Akram from Bathuni; Mohd Riaz and Mohd Bashir from Gurdan from Gurdan Balla and Kaneez Fatima, wife of Osaka Shah from Gurdan. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
