UDHAMPUR, Dec 21: Two fully grown leopard struck at a village in Latti area and mauled 14 sheep last night, while six sheep were reportedly missing since the attack.
A noted social worker of the Latti area Kasturi Lal Gupta told that the leopards struck in the houses of Omkar Chand and Jagdish Chander, both brothers, sons of Ishar Dass at village Latti Badhnol and kilkled the animals. Six sheep were also missing since the leopards attacked the village.
SHO Deepak Jasrotia today paid a visit to the affected village and took cognizance of the matter.
The villagers told the police that they have been urging the Wild Life Department which did not take any notice till date. The people also demanded compensation to both the brothers whose sheep were killed and in the attack and also went missing soon after the attack.
