146 test +ve, CUK issues SOPs

JAMMU/SRINAGAR, Sept 11: As many as 146 persons today tested positive for COVID-19 including 121 in Kashmir division and 25 in Jammu.
Among 25 cases in Jammu region, 13 were reported from Doda, four in Jammu, three each Reasi and Udhampur and one each in Poonch and Kathua while rest of the districts didn’t report any fresh cases today.
As against 25 new cases, 27 persons recovered from the virus.
Jammu region now has 229 active positive cases.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 121 fresh COVID-19 cases.
Those who tested positive include 72 from Srinagar, Baramulla 15, Budgam 9, Pulwama 3, Kupwara 7, Anantnag 1, Bandipora 3, Ganderbal 6 and Kulgam 5.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 203,514 including 200,197 recoveries and 2,245 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,301 including 1,072 from Kashmir division and.
Meanwhile, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) today issued SOPs to ensure physical attendance of teachers at its campuses from September 13
As per a circular issued all the teachers shall be required to get themselves vaccinated and submit a ‘Fully Vaccinated’ certificate to the office of the Medical Officer, CU Kashmir under an endorsement to this office by or before 11th instant, failing which the teacher shall not be considered on active duty from 13th September 2021 onwards.
The teachers in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Government shall also be required to conduct the physical classes after ensuring that only fully vaccinated students are allowed to enter the class.
Besides, the departments shall make the arrangements for online classes for those students who would not be in a position to attend the University for valid reasons and appropriate time must be provided to them to attend the classes physically after some time.
