15 bovine animals rescued

UDHAMPUR, June 26: Udhampur Police today rescued 15 bovine animals and arrested a bovine smuggler in two different cases under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kud and Udhampur.
Based on reliably information, a Police party, led by SHO Kud, Inspector Raghubir Singh, laid a surprise naka on the National Highway near Kud in the wee hours and intercepted a 407 vehicle bearing Registration number JK14B-0366 and rescued 11 bovine animals.  The accused driver namely Mohd Bashir of  Thard  Udhampur was arrested on the spot and vehicle was seized. In this regard, a case FIR No. 48/2015 U/S 188/RPC 3PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Kud.
Similarly at PP Roun Domail,  under the jurisdiction of Police Station Udhampur, a Police party led by, SI Purab Singh,  laid a surprise naka near Roun Domail in the wee hours and  intercepted a vehicle bearing Registration No. JK06-1532 and rescued four  bovine animals. Driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot while  vehicle was seized. In this regard, a case FIR No. 224/2015 U/S 188/RPC 3 PCA Act has been  registered at P/S Udhampur.
