JAMMU, July 22: The 15-day workshop on personality development and communication skills, which commenced on July 3, 2023, at Jammu University’s Center for IT-enabled Services and Management, concluded with resounding success.
The workshop, organized by the Skill Development and Career Planning Vertical of SIIEDC under the guidance of Prof Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, JU, was the first of its kind by SIIEDC and was open to participants of all ages and backgrounds.
Prominent academicians and communication skills experts served as resource persons during the workshop, ensuring participants received top-notch guidance and knowledge.
The primary objective of the workshop was to empower participants with enhanced personality traits and communication skills for personal and professional growth.
During the concluding ceremony, Prof Alka Sharma, Director of Skill Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development Center (SIIEDC), expressed her satisfaction with the workshop’s outcome.
She informed the audience that the center would continue organizing such programs not only for the students of the University of Jammu but also for the broader public.
Prof Sharma highlighted SIIEDC’s dedicated efforts in creating an enabling environment for young entrepreneurs. The center’s mandate includes skill development, raising awareness about commercializing acquired skills, and providing incubation opportunities for sustainable entrepreneurship.
Participants were enthusiastic about their experiences and shared how the workshop had a profound impact on their overall personality and communication abilities. Many expressed their desire to participate in similar workshops organized by the center and urged the organizers to make it a regular feature.
