KATHUA, Apr 6: Acting tough against drug peddlers and its propagators in the district, Kathua police today recovered Heroin like substance in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kathua. The accused was arrested and the contraband was seized.
Police said a team of Anti Drug Unit Kathua under the supervision of Inspector, Vishal Kumar during naka checking duty noticed a suspicious person. As he was stopped for checking, he tried to escape sensing danger but the police party nabbed him.
On physical search, approximately 15grams of Heroin like contraband was recovered from his possession. The accused was identified as Kuldeep Kumar alias Reenu, son of Rasal Chand of Chak Drab Khan.
A case FIR No. 159/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered in the concerned Police Station and further investigation is under process.
