SAMBA, Oct 3: Fifteen people were injured when a bus hit a tipper on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway at Sapwal in district Samba today.
According to reports the bus bearing Registration number JK 21B2447 was on way from Jammu to Kathua and it hit a tipper bearing registration number JK08F-5981. Fifteen passengers in the bus were injured in the accident which also resulted into a traffic jam on NH for some time.
All the injured people were rushed to Government Hospital Vijaypur. The doctors posted there referred four critically injured to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for the specialized treatment and 11 people are undergoing treatment at Government Hospital Vijaypur.
They have been identified as Surekha Bala, Mushtaq Ahmed, Ishtyak Ahmed, Narotam Das, Balkar Singh, Gulshan Kohli, Shama Devi, Simran, Ramesh Chander, Deepak Kumar, Neeru Devi, Mohammed Sharif, Joginder Raj, Ramesh Chander. The injured belong to Kathua and Samba districts.
Sapwal police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
