SRINAGAR, Dec 28: Fifteen shops and a hotel were gutted in a fire incident at tourist resort Pahalgam in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district today.
A fire broke out in a shop near Jamia Masjid at main market Pahalgam in which 15 shops and a hotel were damaged.
The locals, Police and the Fire and Emergency Services men rushed to the spot to douse the flames.
As per eye witnesses, 15 shops including Hamdard General store, a shoe shop and a hotel Glaciour were damaged in the fire incident.
The cause of the fire could not be ascertained immediately, however, the fire has now been brought under control.
