Excelsior Correspondent ANANTANG, Dec 19: A joint squad of district administration and police today demolished more than 15 illegal structures at Boat Colony Khanabal. The demolition drive headed by Tehsildar Anantnag Ghulam Rasool was undertaken under the strict instructions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Muneer ul Islam. The Deputy Commissioner said that orders of the High Court will be implemented in letter and spirit, and no illegal construction will be allowed in any part of the district especially along the banks of river Jhelum river. He further added that Irrigation and Flood Control Department and Revenue Department have undertaken massive programme of clearing river banks from illegal structures and plantations so as to avert September 2014 like deluge.
