150 grams heroin recovered

JAMMU, Dec 23: RS Pura police recovered 150 grams heroin worth several thousands and seized a vehicle.
As per police sources, during routine patrolling at village Agra Chak, a team from RS Pura police station found a Mahindra TUV 300 bearing registration number PB08BJ-6945 parked on road side in which one person namely Yudhveer Singh alias Bablu, son of Aya Singh of old Agra Chak was seating.
On seeing police cops, Yudhveer Singh fled away from the spot taking advantage of darkness after leaving his vehicle behind.
During checking, police recovered 150 grams heroin from the car and seized it on the spot.
A case under FIR Number 192/16 under Section 8/21/22/29 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at RS Pura police station and investigation started.
Yudhvir Singh is a notorious criminal and history sheeter of police station RS Pura. He is involved in around one dozen heinous cases including attempt to murder, extortion, burglary and arms act cases registered in different police stations of Jammu District.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Bhushan Manhas recovered the heroin and seized the vehicle under the supervision of  SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
