JAMMU, Mar 17: Keeping in views of ensuing Navratra festival and as per the directions of Director, Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, a special checking squad booked 16 defaulters for violating various rules of Essential Accomodities Act 1995 and Price Display Act and a fine of Rs 16,100 was realized from them.
The special checking squad was headed by Joginder Singh, Assistant Director Enforcement, FCS&CA Jammu along with team of Inspectors Raman Kumar, Yogesh Kumar, Prithpal Singh, Puneet Kumar and Nitin Wadhera.
The special checking squad conducted the market checking in the areas of Trikuta Nagar, Railway Station, Bahu Plaza, Bikram Chowk, Last Morh Gandhi Nagar and Gole Market Gandhi Nagar and checked 84 business establishments.
