REASI, Apr 23: Foiling bovines smuggling attempt, Reasi Police rescued 16 animals and arrested two smugglers, here today.
According to Police, a team of PP Dhansal laid a surprise naka at Dhansal area and intercepted two bovine smugglers namely Manzoor Ahmed , son of Mohd Shafi of Dhansal, Tehsil Arnas and Mahmood Ahmed, son of Haroon of Chillad, Tehsil Arnas.
16 bovines were recovered from possession of the accused, who were arrested on the spot. In this regard, a case FIR number 56/2022, under section 188 IPC and 11(1) (a) PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Arnas.
