JAMMU, Aug 25: Drugs and Food Control Organization today fined 16 persons, who were found indulged in selling tobacco products near educational institutions.
Satish Gupta, Controller, Drugs and Food Control Organization, said that a special drive was conducted to securing Section 6 of the Cigarette and other Tobacco Products Act 2003 near educational institutions.
Sixteen persons were found indulged in sale of tobacco and tobacco products around educational institutions surrounding Science College, Commerce College, University Campus and Gandhi Nagar, Gupta added.
A fine of Rs 2200 was realized from the violators.
