16 injured as Tempo falls into gorge

REASI, Aug 9: At least 16 persons, most of them Railways workers were injured when a Tempo Traveller fell into a gorge in Sarmegha area of Reasi this evening.
Official sources said that mishap took place when the ill-fated vehicle/ Tempo bearing registration number JK02AR/ 1250 was on way to Reasi from Bakkal village. As the vehicle reached near Sarmegha village, the driver lost control and it rolled down into a gorge, causuing injuries to 15 passengers and the driver.
The injured were shifted to District Hospital, Reasi by police and locals of the area. The condition of three of them was said to be serious. The police took cognizance of the matter. The injured were identified as Ramdass from West Bengal, Mujaffar Hussain from West Bengal, Idrees from West Bengal, Aroop Wiswas from Dumdum WB, Vicky Dass from WB, Debasheesh from WB, Samanta Dass from WB, Janmis Dass from WB, Shahsikantha Dass from WB, Shakir Alam from WB, Vicky Kumar from WB, Adhar Dass from WB, Uneeb Dass from Dispur, Kuldip Singh from Samroli in Udhampur, Shiba Mandel from WB and Uday Dass from West Bengal.
