JAMMU, Oct 24: Government today created 16 new posts of faculty in Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu and GMC Srinagar.
“The sanction is hereby accorded to the creation of 16 posts of Professors and Associate Professors in different specialties in GMC Jammu and GMC Srinagar,” an order issued today by Government read.
According to the order, 8 posts have been created in GMC Jammu and an equal number of posts in GMC Srinagar. In GMC Jammu, 2 posts of Associate Professor have been created in Obst & Gynae Department, one post of Associate Professor each in General Surgery and General Medicine, and one post of Professor in each Pediatrics, Radio Diagnosis, Pharmacology and Cardiology Departments.
Likewise in GMC Srinagar, one post of Professor has been created each in Psychiatric Disease, Surgery, ENT, Anatomy, Pediatrics, Radiation Oncology and Orthopedics Departments and one post of Associate Professor in Radio Diagnosis & Imaging Department.
