Srinagar, Aug 3: Sixteen detainees booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) were today shifted from Srinagar Central Jail to various jails in Haryana.
An official order of shifting these detainees who were lodged in Central Jail was issued yesterday. Eight of them were shifted to District Jail Karnal and rest to District Jail Jhajjar in Haryana.
An official said that these detainees were shifted to decongest Central Jail Srinagar where 660 detainees were lodged while as the Jail has capacity of 490.
