The IAF helicopters on relief and rescue mission to Kashmir have started bringing back trapped people of Jammu region and other States in Kashmir including Government employees posted in the Valley and tourists.
By late tonight, 165 persons, mostly from Jammu region had been airlifted here from Kashmir in the IAF aircrafts, which had gone to the Valley on relief and rescue missions.
Official sources said the sorties would continue throughout the night and the persons from Jammu and other States would be brought back from the Valley.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had yesterday ordered that the aircrafts and helicopters returning to Jammu and Pathankot after relief and rescue missions would bring back the trapped civilians and tourists.
