JAMMU, Apr 5: On the directions of Director, Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, a special checking squad conducted market checking.
The squad headed by Joginder Singh, Assistant Director (Enforcement) FCS&CA Jammu along with team of Inspectors namely Raman Kumar, Yogesh Kumar, Prithpal Singh and Dewan Singh conducted the checking in Gujjar Nagar, Residency Road, Kanak Mandi and Raghunath Bazaar.
During checking, the squad booked 17 defaulters for violating various rules of Essential Commodities Act 1955 and LPG Control Order 2000 and a fine of Rs 17,300 was realized from the defaulters on the spot.
