JAMMU, Dec 3: Seventeen fresh cases of dengue were reported today from various parts of Jammu and Kashmir, taking the total number of cases so far this year to 6316.
A Health official said that 10 cases were reported today from Jammu district while 5 cases were reported from Udhampur and 1 each from Kathua and Poonch districts. The positive patients included 15 adults and 2 children, he added.
He said maximum 3993 cases reported so far are from Jammu district followed by Udhampur district with 958 cases, Kathua 590 cases and Samba 353 cases. “There were 100 cases in Rajouri, 72 in Doda, 69 in Reasi, 63 in Ramban, 38 in Poonch, 10 in Kishtwar, 30 in Kashmir and 40 from other parts of the UT,” the official said.
The official further informed that a total of 2048 dengue patients have been admitted to the hospitals till date and of these, 1945 have been discharged and 19 patients are still under treatment.
