JAMMU, June 22: Seventeen persons were injured in the collision of two buses in Bomal area of Akhnoor today, officials said.

They said two buses (JK02CP0031 and JK02CG 5666) coming from Akhnoor and Jourian sides collided head on with each other at Bomal area around 9: 30 am, resulting in injuries to 17 persons, seven of them seriously, who have been shifted to Government Medical College Jammu for advanced treatment. The other injured are undergoing treatment at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case FIR number 110/2024 under sections 279 and 337 of the IPC at Police Station Akhnoor and taken up further investigation.
