MENDHAR, Mar 25: The police nabbed two youth and recovered 17 packets of Ganja from their possession from Bus Stand area here today.
Official sources said that acting on a tip off, a Police party from Mendhar Police Station, under the supervision of SDPO, Shahid Nahiem intercepted two youth and during their frisking recovered 17 packets of Ganja weighing nearly 50gm from their possession.
Both of them were arrested and a case was registered against him. They were identified as Saddam Ahmed (25), son of Zameer Ahmed and Rahil Ahmed (18), son of Abdul Aziz, both residents of Gohlad in Mendhar. Police said that both of them have been placed under sustained questioning and some more arrests are likely in near future. The police team was trying to find out the source and destination of the drugs consignment.
