170 fresh COVID +ve cases in J&K

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Sept 9: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 170 fresh COVID positive cases but there were no casualties. The UT of Ladakh didn’t report any new case today.
Twenty three positive cases were reported in the Jammu region and 147 in Kashmir.
Of 23 cases in Jammu, 12 were reported in Reasi district and 10 of them were travelers who tested positive on their arrival at Katra Railway Station while four cases were recorded in Doda, two each in Poonch and Kishtwar and one each in Jammu, Rajouri and Ramban districts. Kathua, Samba and Udhampur districts didn’t report any fresh cases.
Jammu region now has 1,23,237 Corona cases. Among them, 228 only are active positives as 1,20,843 have recovered from the virus and there have been 2166 casualties.
No fresh COVID positive cases were reported in Ladakh today.
Ladakh now has 39 active positive cases including 36 in Leh and three in Kargil.
Ladakh’s Corona count stood at 20593. Of them, 20347 have recovered from the virus and there have been 207 casualties—149 in Leh and 58 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 147 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 80 from Srinagar, 22 from Baramulla, 20 from Budgam, 4 from Pulwama, 6 from Kupwara, 3 from Anantnag, 8 from Bandipora, 3 from Ganderbal, and 1 from Shopian.
As per officials figures, 72,918 positive cases including 837 deaths and 71,506 recoveries are from Srinagar, 24,042 including 282 deaths and 23,592 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,314 including 22,965 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Budgam, 15,372 including 15,148 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,272 including 166 deaths and 14,081 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,464 including 16,238 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,658 cases including 9,666 and 101 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,155 including 10,059 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,438 including 11,300 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,602 including 5,539 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 203,243 including 199,963 recoveries and 2,245 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,263 including 1,035 from Kashmir division.
With 158 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 320,806, which is 98.26 percent of the total cases.
