MENDHAR, Feb 6: Sub Divisional Administration conducted anti-encroachment drive and retrieved around 173 kanals of Government land.
SDM Mendhar Dr Sahil Jandyal said that a team of Revenue officials led by Tehsildar Mendhar Dr Vikram Raina along with Naib Tehsildar Ashfaq Khan under and assisted by police party and under the supervision of DDC Poonch Rahul Yadav conducted an operation and retrieved 173 kanal and 3 marlas of State land situated at village Plasar in Ari.
Initially, the villagers showed some resistance but police force made them to move away.
The villagers of Plasar in Ari had encroached upon the Government land, SDM said, adding that similar operations would continue to retrieve Government land in other areas also.
