18 bovine animals rescued, 2 smugglers arrested

UDHAMPUR, Aug 28: Udhampur Police today rescued 18 bovine animals and arrested the smugglers from Jakhani area.
Acting on reliable information, a Police Party from Police Station Udhampur, laid a surprise naka near Jakhani Chowk and intercepted one Truck bearing registration number JK03B-3580, which was on way towards Srinagar.
During thorough search, the truck was found loaded with 18 bovine animals, which were rescued. Police also seized the truck and arrested its driver as well as his associate, who were identified as Mohd Imran Pary of Haripura District Pulwama and Farid Ahmed of Bashat Chenani.
In this connection, a case FIR no 397/17 under section 188 RPC 3PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
