SAMBA, Nov 26: Police today foiled an attempt of bovines smuggling by rescuing 18 bovine animals.
A team of Police Station Samba while performing vehicle checking duty at Nud Naka point, intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AQ-5369 and during checking, found 18 cattle loaded inside the vehicle without any permission.
In this connection, a case FIR Number 282/2022 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
All the rescued bovines were shifted to safer place and the vehicle used for transportation was seized.
