MENDHAR, Nov 2: At least 18 persons including driver were injured, three of them seriously when a video bus met head- on- collision with a truck near Bhimber Gali on Jammu-Poonch highway this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when the bus bearing registration No. JK02AX/6167 was on way to Jammu from Poonch. The truck No. JK02A/1911 was moving towards Poonch. At a sharp curve near BG, both the vehicles collided causing injuries to over eighteen persons including drivers. Three persons sustained serious injuries.
All the victims, were rushed to Manjakote hospital and there three of them were referred to District hospital, where the condition of one Abdul Rashid of Dalera was stated to be critical. The other injured were identified as Mohd Raqib from Dalera, Chandan Bala from Poonch, Mohd Rashid from Dalera, Muktar Hyder, Mohd Rashid and Nazir Hussain from Gursai, Rukhmat Jan, Mehnaz and Uzma Akhtar from Rajouri, Waqar Ahmed from Dalera, Zahid Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmed and Nazir Hussain from Gursai while, Mohd Akram, Mohd Tariq and Zameel Ahmed from Dalera.
SHO Manjakote, Mehmood Ahmed, who rushed to the spot ensured shifting of all the victims to hospital. The police has also taken cognizance of the matter.
