JAMMU, Jan 5: Eighteen member Jammu and Kashmir Power Lifting team left for Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu to participate in Senior Master Power Lifting Championship to be held from January 7 to January 12, 2018.
The team was selected by All J&K State Power Lifting Association, under the aegis of Power Lifting India (Formerly Indian Power Lifting Federation).
The team was cleared after its screening held by the Screening Committee of J&K State Sports Council including Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary; Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer Jammu and Satish Sharma, Manager Indoor Sports Complex. Rahul Sawhney, Senior Vice President and Adil Ashraf, Joint Secretary were also present on the occasion.
The Team: Harshul Sharma, Muteeb Elahi, Varun Gupta, Shubam Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Rajat Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Akshay Gupta, Sumit Saini, Mohinder Singh, Vikas Khajuria, Amandeep Basan, Lakshay Wadhwal, Gourav Sharma, Amandev Singh, Ibrahim Mushtaq, Darshan Kumar and Bansi Lal Thappa.
Ajay Sharma, General Secretary of the Association and Sanjeev Sharma, Joint Secretary are accompanying the team as manager and coach respectively.
